Positive: Simply outstanding, it was my favourite spot out of all places I visited in Thailand. It’s so beautiful, with bungalows resembling tree houses. At the high tide, you sleep with the ocean under your bed. Most rooms/huts are accessed through steps but they do have one that is accessible, so ask for that one if you have mobility issues. Each hut has a terrace with a lot of privacy, loungers, hammocks… it’s simple, but tasteful. It’s all kept very clean, and their private beach with a mangrove forest is the cleanest on the whole island (the island is fantastic btw if you look for tranquility and beauty, but most beaches get way too much plastic washed up by the currents for the locals to clean; it’s not their fault). Other reviews say you can’t swim here. Not true, you can, but only around the high tide - and if you’re lucky for it to be daytime you can literally swim in a mangrove. But it is tidal, and at the low tide you need to go to one of the nearby swimming spots. The breakfast is simple but filling (eggs, bread, peanut butter, jam and fruits) and they cook simple but tasty Thai food until 8pm with the bar open till 10ish or later. The prices are really fair. There’s also a good seafood restaurant 5 minutes away on foot. The main beach, the most stunning on the island, is just 20 minutes away through a well maintained but sometimes steep jungle walk. The hosts are incredible but if you need something, you have to ask. I loved that. They’re kind, hardworking people that will give you space, but they also try to help with any requests. For most of our stay, we felt like we had the most amazing private beach to ourselves. We visited other homestays on the island to try something different, but ended up extending our stay instead. It is the loveliest place on the whole island, if you want beauty, peace and privacy.
