The Flip Flop Retreat- Lake of the Woods (Decatur, Michigan)--15 minutes from Popular Sister Lakes Area, 25 minutes from Swiss Valley Ski and Snowboard Area, 25 minutes from Indian Lake Hills Golf Course, and only 40 minutes from Notre Dame! There is much to do in this area from a visit to St. Joe's, wineries, apple orchards, pumpkin farms, and much more. Come do a wine tour in the Fall!

This home is located on Lake of the Woods in Decatur, MI near the popular Sister Lakes Area. This home is on the South side of the lake with great views of sunsets while relaxing on the deck with your favorite beverage. Get up in the morning with your cup of joe and enjoy the view of the lake through a wall of windows or, better yet, on the deck overlooking the lake.
This home is 1800 Sq. Ft 3 bedrooms, 1 loft, and 2 full bathrooms. Sleeps 10-12 comfortably (6-8 adults and 4-5 children). The home rents Saturday to Saturday between June 1 and August 31 with some flexibility the first week of June and the last couple weeks of August. There are newer memory foam mattresses on the beds to accommodate side, back and stomach sleepers.
The lake is clean, clear and known for Walleye and Bass fishing. Water is sparkling clean and sandy and shallow by our lakefront for the kids to play. There is no beach as there is a seawall but there are 3-4 stairs leading from the dock to the lake bottom. I do provide a Lilly Pad for kids to play on the water and 2 kayaks.
We have parking for up to 7 cars. NO MORE THAN 7 CARS ALLOWED FOR PARKING! 2-3 in the drive and 4 in the lot across the street.
There is a 20ft 2017 Godfrey Sweetwater Pontoon boat at the dock available for rent. There is no tubing or skiing permitted with the boat. I DO REQUIRE THE PONTOON RENTAL DURING THE PEAK RENTAL WEEKS OF THE SUMMER due to demand (JUNE 15-AUGUST 15).
. Kitchen is well-equipped for all your cooking needs. Family room has a 65" flat screen smart TV. Deck has a newer Weber Genesis grill with a additional full propane tank, patio furniture and a fire pit is lakeside with firewood provided.
We are close to grocery, restaurants, the popular Hayloft Ice Cream Parlor, wineries, breweries, and golf courses. If you want to spend a day on Lake Michigan or St. Joseph, MI--just 35 minutes away. Please email me if you would like more information on this home.
Other essentials and items provided for your convenience 6 rolls of TP, 3 rolls of paper towels, garbage bags, hand soap, shampoo/conditioner combo with pump dispenser, body soap with pump dispenser, coffee and coffee filters, dishwasher pods, laundry detergent and dryer sheets. Also, bed linens, bath and kitchen towels, a large cooler on the deck, 2 kayaks, and assorted games.
