Positive: We liked the pool and the friendliness of the staff. The pool really is the only great thing about this hotel. We liked the free shuttle service on our way back to the port. They also gave us free breakfast because of how we struggled with our room when we arrived.

Negative: Avoid the casitas at all cost. We paid extra for a casita and we ended up in a lower level casita, no view, very humid and LOTS of dead and live cockroaches. They moved us to a twin bedroom the same night then a double bedroom the next night. Lots of stress and disappointment. Breakfast was pretty disappointing. Location isn’t great. It’s beautiful but you’re far from everything, and the fancy hotels nearby may not let you access their beach clubs, so you may as well find a nice hotel in Station 1 or 3, or Bulabog if you are afraid of the crowds because you won’t struggle with expensive tuk tuks to go anywhere. Tuk tuks will charge you 30% more just to get on top of Hotel Soffia’s hill.
